Transpersonal Therapy
Kundalini Therapy is part of the Transpersonal therapy system. It takes a holistic approach to therapy with an emphasis on Spirituality. This type of therapy aims to address the client’s mental, physical, social, emotional, creative, and intellectual needs in order to facilitate healing and growth.
In Transpersonal therapy we use a variety of techniques such as: meditation, guided visualisation, hypnotherapy, dream work, art, music, journaling and mindfulness practices in order to help clients explore their spiritual self and create meaning in their life.
Kundalini Yoga is an ancestral science that meets some of the pillars of Transpersonal Therapy.
This sub-field of psychology, also called Spiritual Psychology, claims to integrate the spiritual and transcendent aspects of the human experience with the framework of modern psychology. The transpersonal is defined as "experiences in which the sense of identity or self extends beyond (trans) the individual or personal to encompass wider aspects of humankind, life, psyche or cosmos". It has also been defined as "development beyond conventional, personal or individual levels".
Issues considered in transpersonal psychology include :
spiritual self-development, self beyond the ego, peak experiences, mystical experiences, systemic trance, spiritual crises, spiritual evolution, religious conversion, altered states of consciousness, spiritual practices, and other sublime and/or unusually expanded experiences of living.

Combined with the tools of Kundalini Yoga, we get to altered states of consciousness, but also altered states of physical beingness that bring along changes in our subconscious mind, thus inducing new ways of thinking, of reacting to reality, of experiencing everyday life.

Mindfulness often focuses on increasing calm awareness of your own thoughts, emotions, and experiences in the moment.
